Using this solution, PMR users can communicate with one another over mesh using their handheld  devices. Vehicular radios can use the same technology to connect to the nearest TETRA antenna for external communications (e.g., to headquarters). Law enforcement and emergency responders, for example, gain unhampered mobility in the field as their voice and broadband data communications are unaffected by high-speed travel and/or challenging physical conditions. The solution also supports external gateway to VHF/UHF, GSM, VSAT and other external networks, as required. The network determines best routing and optimal technology (mesh or TETRA) to use based on location, topography, network availability, etc.
